I was reviewing David Hyatt’s site and found his comments regarding the season finale of The West Wing meshed almost exactly with mine.
HP, selling recently acquired Compaq Proliant servers running Red Hat linux, recently won a deal to migrate Reuter’s key financial software, known as the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) from Sun’s Sparc/Solaris combo. This software provides the ability for traders to retrieve and digest their financial news and numbers, make trading decisions, and interact with the markets.
This concept, lowercase sound, makes some sense to me. When I’m working I often am only barely aware of the music I’m listening to; I’m so involved in what I’m doing. Music that is barely there, so to speak, might be just the thing.

I love this kind of stuff! When I was a young (right before & after learning to read) kid I used to spend hours looking at National Geographic magazines provided by my Aunt Mildred and Uncle Bernard. I was fascinated by the ads, and for some reason, the Union-Carbide ads were particularly appealing.
This high quality archive of advertisements bring back some of those memories, plus they provide a unique perspective of America during the 1st half of the 20th century.
I found a similiar site a while back. Adflip extends the idea by providing an archive of ads from the 1950’s on.
