Two From a Master

While confirming the accuracy of one quote, I came across another that I just had to share.

Both are from that great American observer, Mark Twain. The first deals with, what else, the current situation in Washington:

Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it. -- Mark Twain

The second quote is part of the same canon that includes Jerry Garcia's Thrive!; it describes my approach to life quite well:

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. -- Mark Twain
