Beautiful and dramatic. Northeast of Lindsborg, looking northwest, towards Coronado Heights.
Encouraged by yesterday’s results, I wanted to try creating another linocut, but wanted something easy to cut and more formal than anything I could draw by hand. This lead me to search for simple, easy patterns, and I came across this coffee cup. (While it’s OK to copy art for purposes of learning, it’s not […]
Inspired initially by a local artist’s Facebook share on linocuts I did some research on the topic and decided to give it a try. My motivation to pursue linocut print making was further enhanced as I realized how many prints created by Lee Becker we have hanging in our house! So I did my usual […]
I just wrote and published my first WordPress plugin, Random Auto Featured Image, or RAFI for short. Simply put, it adds a “featured image” to every post that doesn’t have one already set. Featured images are used to enhance post archive listings as well as blog listings in general. When I first started using WordPress […]
On this day, 15 years ago, I began writing this blog, All the Pages (are my days). What a different world. 9/11 was a few months old. Laurina had passed away, but there was no indication we’d lose my mom by year’s end. Of course, no thought of moving to Kansas at that point either. […]

Well, not really exile, more of a temporary home while their main home is rebuilt. Due to a couple of reasons, we relocated the inhabitants of our 38 gallon tank to a new home, a 20 gallon long aquarium. The puffers in question are small, less than one inch, fresh water fish that originally come […]
We dropped by the Old Mill Museum on the Smoky Hill River in Lindsborg late this afternoon and were rewarded with some very engaging light. So naturally I took a few photos. The last one was processed using the Fractalius filter to try and give a pen and ink effect.
It was a nice spring day, sunny and with only a slight breeze, so I took out my drone to gain some practice flying and taking photos and videos while flying. I had some pretty good results on the photo front and here are my favorites from today. The first two are taken near Coronado […]
